Who?
AMAYzing Software is a software development company based in Timaru, New Zealand. We specialise in writing software for windows-based computers. Our programs are simple to operate, and are used in a variety of situations.
What?
We design, build and maintain windows applications, along with databases, web services and other components. We provide on going support for our software, and our associated company M Tech Limited provide hardware sales and support as required. We provide installation, training and ongoing support via email and telephone thoughout New Zealand (and the world).
Why?
Why do people ask us to write them a program? The main reason is that there isn't a program available that does exactly what they need, or the steps taken to do a task are able to be simplifed by using a program written specifically for the job. Often an organisation wishes to on-sell the program, and we can include a registration system, and royalty-free rights to the completed program.
Where?
With the Internet, in this day and age, anywhere is possible. Our loyalty software is used all over the South Island and our Cadastral Index is used in surveyors’ offices around New Zealand. We even have a shipping program being used on the Chatham Islands, 800 km east of us.
Many of our programs use web-based technology to communicate between offices, and users. Our suite of software for a wool testing client uses low-speed, unreliable dialup connections from remote sites (in the back of nowhere!) to successfully get the test results to head-office and processed for electronic delivery to the farmer. One way, or the other, we get the information across the country and around the world.
Products
Below are some of our recent works;
Cadastral Index is a very simple program that allows the user to very quickly find and view a cadastral survey. The program indexes over 1.2 million images, packaged into easily handled library files, and divided into twelve land districts.
We distribute the data on behalf of our client, using DVD and removable hard drives. Our program has a very simple install and the configuration, either on a network or single computer is performed with a three-step wizard.
It includes a secure registration system, allowing our client to sell it around the country, and prevent unlicensed copies.
ScanManager is a three part system to allow users to quickly and easily scan and retrieve correspondence. ScanDriver works with any Twain compliant scanner and automatically stores images with very little user interaction. ScanViewer allows users to access the images very quickly, typically within one second. ScanManager is the heart of the system, allowing staff to assign images to clients, provide a summary of the document and lodge the image with an electronic fingerprint, to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Initially written for a medical organisation, it connects to the patient database, and allows doctors to retrieve images from within their patient notes. It can be customised to suit any business wanting a "paperless office".
